Abia APC governorship candidate Eric Opah has expressed condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Squadron Leader Ahamefule Aham Man Ugwueje, an Abia born Nigerian Air Force officer who died in a plane crash in Ondo State.

In a condolence message, Opah described the late officer as a brave and dedicated son of Abia State who served the country with commitment.

He said the news of the crash had left him deeply saddened, particularly because the officer had recently married Flight Lieutenant Damilola.

“My heart has been heavy since the news of the tragic Nigerian Air Force plane crash in Ondo State reached us on Monday,” Opah said.

He extended his condolences to the officer’s young wife, family, friends and the Nigerian Air Force community, praying that they would find strength to cope with the loss.

According to him, the sacrifice made by Squadron Leader Man Ugwueje and other officers who died in the crash would not be forgotten.

Opah prayed for the repose of the souls of the deceased officers and expressed sympathy with their families.
