Bayelsa NDC Rep Candidate Unveils 9 Point Agenda

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for Sagbama/Ekeremor Federal Constituency in Bayelsa State, High Chief (Hon.) Seles Saboh, has unveiled a nine-point agenda outlining his priorities if elected to the House of Representatives.

Saboh said his ambition was driven by a commitment to provide effective representation, empower residents and attract development to communities across the constituency.

“By the grace of God and with your support, my focus will be on delivering real results for Sagbama/Ekeremor,” he said.

The agenda covers quality representation, youth empowerment, women empowerment, education, healthcare, infrastructure, agriculture and the blue economy, security and community development, as well as transparency and accountability.

Saboh pledged to serve as an accessible voice for constituents at the National Assembly and ensure that issues affecting the people receive adequate attention.

He said his youth empowerment programme would focus on skills acquisition, entrepreneurship, ICT training and job creation, while his plans for women would include grants, training and support for women-led businesses and cooperatives.

In education, the NDC candidate promised scholarships, educational materials, improved learning facilities, and advocacy for policies to strengthen education across the constituency.

He also pledged to facilitate better primary healthcare services, medical outreach programmes and improved access to essential healthcare.

On infrastructure, Saboh said he would pursue the construction and rehabilitation of roads, bridges, schools, healthcare facilities and water projects, as well as rural electrification across Sagbama/Ekeremor.

The candidate said agriculture and the blue economy would also receive attention, with plans to support farmers, fishermen and local entrepreneurs through access to modern equipment, training, financing and markets.

He further promised to collaborate with relevant security agencies and community stakeholders to promote peace and support sustainable development in the constituency.

Saboh also pledged to operate with transparency and accountability, promising regular engagement with constituents and updates on his activities and progress at the National Assembly.

He said his goal was to build a constituency where communities are represented, young people have opportunities, women are economically empowered, and families can thrive.

“Together, we can build a constituency where every community is heard, every youth has hope, every woman is empowered, and every family has the opportunity to thrive,” Saboh said.

“The future of Sagbama/Ekeremor is bright, and together, we will make it a reality.”
