The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for Abia State, Chief Eric C. Opah, has met with the leadership of the City Boy Movement in the state as part of ongoing consultations with stakeholders within the party.

The meeting took place during a visit to the State Director of the City Boy Movement, Mayor Lucky Igbokwe, and was aimed at strengthening collaboration and engagement within the APC.

Chief Opah was accompanied by his running mate, Dr. Godswill Agu Egbe; the Director General of the Eric Opah Campaign Organisation, Chief Charles Ogbonna; and other members of the campaign team.

Speaking during the visit, Mayor Igbokwe welcomed the delegation and commended the APC governorship candidate for engaging party stakeholders through consultations.

He said such engagements were important for promoting unity and strengthening the party ahead of future political activities.

Mayor Igbokwe also offered prayers for the governorship candidate, asking God to grant him wisdom, strength and guidance as he continues consultations across the state.

He described the City Boy Movement as a grassroots political movement established in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda, adding that it has continued to expand its presence within the APC through grassroots mobilisation.

According to him, the movement is evolving into a strategic political platform that will continue to play a significant role in the party's future.

Mayor Igbokwe also commended the leadership of the APC for sustaining internal democracy, consultation and party cohesion, urging members to remain united and committed to strengthening the party.
