Bayelsa State Deputy Governor, Dr Peter Akpe, has described Mrs Timi Edure, wife of the Governor's Special Adviser on Local Content, Hon. Barnabas Edure, as a woman of honour whose character has promoted peace, unity and progress in her family.

Akpe made the remarks on Wednesday during the celebration of Mrs Edure's 50th birthday in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where he attended as the special guest of honour.

The deputy governor praised the celebrant for her humility, prayerfulness and composure, stating that her husband's achievements over the years reflected the unwavering support and encouragement she had provided.

He said attaining the age of 50 is a significant milestone and noted that Mrs Edure's youthful appearance was a testament to God's blessings on the family.

Akpe also commended Hon. Barnabas Edure, describing him as a grassroots political mobiliser and businessman. He prayed for God's continued favour upon the celebrant and her household.

Speaking on behalf of Governor Douye Diri, the deputy governor congratulated Mrs Edure and expressed appreciation to the family for their contributions.
