Dangote Refinery Reduces Petrol, Diesel Ex-Depot Prices Again

Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals has announced another reduction in ex-depot petrol and diesel prices to ease costs for consumers and businesses across Nigeria.

The company reduced the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit, popularly known as petrol, to ₦1,250 per litre from ₦1,275 per litre. The price of Automotive Gas Oil, also known as diesel, was also reduced to ₦1,700 per litre from ₦1,800 per litre.

According to the refinery, the latest adjustment reflects its commitment to making refined petroleum products more affordable while supporting economic activities across the country. The company said the review forms part of ongoing efforts to improve supply efficiency, strengthen domestic refining, and reduce pressure on consumers and businesses that depend heavily on fuel for transportation, power generation, and industrial operations.

Dangote Refinery noted that the reduction aligns with its broader objective of ensuring a stable supply of refined petroleum products to the Nigerian market while helping to ease the cost burden on citizens.

Since commencing operations, the 650,000-barrels-per-day refinery has continued to expand its domestic supply as part of efforts to reduce Nigeria’s dependence on imported petroleum products.
