Abia Government Calls Off Sanitation Exercise Ahead of Festivities

The Abia State Government has cancelled the Monthly Environmental Sanitation Exercise earlier scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, December 20.

In a statement issued by the Honourable Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Philemon Asonye Ogbonna, residents were urged to maintain clean surroundings—homes, offices, markets, and business areas—throughout the festive season, despite the cancellation.

The state government confirmed that there will be no restriction of movement, and citizens are free to go about their lawful activities.

The statement further appreciated the public’s cooperation and encouraged all residents to continue supporting efforts to keep Abia State clean, safe, and healthy.
